Who is behind BudgetPlanner?

BudgetPlanner ("we", "us", "our") operates getbudgetplanner.co. This policy explains what personal data we collect and how we use it. Contact: privacy@getbudgetplanner.co.

What data does BudgetPlanner collect?

We collect only what the service needs: the figures you type into the planner, your account details if you create one, payment data handled by Stripe, and aggregated usage analytics. We never ask for or store bank logins or card numbers.

How is my data used?

Your data is used to deliver the planner and nothing else — we do not sell personal information. Concretely, that means:

What is the legal basis for processing (GDPR)?

We process data under: (a) contract, to deliver the service you requested; (b) consent, for non-essential cookies and marketing; (c) legitimate interest, for security and product analytics; (d) legal obligation, for tax records.

Which cookies and third parties are involved?

We use cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy. Third-party processors include:

If we display ads via Google AdSense or Microsoft Advertising in the future, those partners may set cookies to serve personalised ads. You will be asked for consent before any advertising cookies are set, in line with Google's EU user consent policy and Microsoft's advertising policies.

How long is my data kept?

Account data is kept until you delete your account. Budget entries are deleted when you delete them or your account. Anonymous analytics is kept up to 26 months.

What are my privacy rights and how do I use them?

You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time from your account page, or by emailing privacy@getbudgetplanner.co. EU/UK residents may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. California residents have rights under the CCPA including the right to know, delete and opt out of "sale" of personal information — we do not sell personal information.

Can children use BudgetPlanner?

BudgetPlanner is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Is my data transferred outside the EU?

Data may be processed in the EU and the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses.

How will I know if this policy changes?

We will post updates on this page and change the "Last updated" date.
